Our story began when our son was born, and we started buying organic chicken from stores to protect our child from harmful additives used in intensive animal production. Our main problem was that we always received frozen chickens, which made it difficult for us to prepare them. We tried various suppliers.
After some time, we finally found someone we could trust to raise chickens for us. We knew how they were raised, and we were confident that no harmful substances were added. We were happy because we had solved our problem.
Our happiness lasted for a few years until our daughter was born. Just when she was about to start eating solid food, the woman who had been raising chickens for us for years told us she would no longer do it. We were in a big dilemma.
Fortunately, in the meantime, I had the luck to meet Voja Marjanović, a young farmer who had a small pig farm in Preljina. He used innovative methods to raise animals without the use of antibiotics and drugs. I immediately called Voja to ask if he might raise chickens for us. He agreed. My next question was whether he would raise chickens for others in the same way, as I had many inquiries from our friends who had the same or a similar problem as us. He said he would!
This is how the idea for Meat Your Farmer was born!
Then the three of us got together, each with our expertise, and started the realization:
